People, Partners and Public Health: New Brand Showcases How USP Improves Health Around the World

When people depend on the work you do for their health and wellbeing, you owe them your best. At USP, this responsibility is at the core of what we do.

Today, two billion people – more than 25% of the world’s population – benefit from the quality standards we develop with our partners for how medicines, dietary supplements, and food are produced. These standards help build a foundation for quality that makes the world a safer and healthier place.

To better communicate how our work with partners empowers a healthy tomorrow, we are launching a new brand identity. In addition to our acronym, USP, which you’ll see more often, we are also introducing a new website, a new logo, and new ways to tell the stories of how USP quality standards improve health around the world.

We are creating new opportunities to showcase how we work with our partners, and we are grateful to the:

  • Many companies that donate materials and scientific methods so we can develop standards for quality,

  • 800 scientific and healthcare experts who contribute their expertise to the standard setting process, and

  • 536 organizations that make up the United States Pharmacopeial Convention, which meets every five years to set priorities for USP.

Together, we are building a foundation to ensure people stay healthy, drawing us closer to a world where everyone can be confident of quality in health and healthcare.
